(100) .

(101) . From Loxton Hill (summer 2000). In the distance Clevedon, the Bristol Channel with Wales beyond.

(102) . From Loxton Hill (summer 2000). Towards Banwell Hill with Clevedon in the distance and Wales beyond. Banwell Hill possesses a unique cave containing animal bones and a once ruined tower, originally built in 1840 by one of the Bishops of Bath and Wells. The pepper pot tower has recently been restored and provides spectacular panoramic views. Both are privately owned but are occasionally opened to the public.

(103) . From Loxton Hill (late summer 2000). Looking south-westerly towards the Quantock Hills, the Brendon Hills and Exmoor beyond. The mouth of the River Parrett, Somersets longest river is just visible. The Bridgwater Bay nature reserve includes the Parrett estuary; the mud, sand and shingle provides a wintering place for many birds particularly wildfowl and waders. Within a few minutes of taking this shot, torrential rain broke on the hill.

(104) . From Loxton Hill (late summer 2000). The storm (ref.103) passed and the sun burst through again. An end to a perfect day !!

(105) . From Loxton Hill (autumn 2001). Brent Knoll with the estuary of the River Parrett at the foot of the Quantock Hills.

(106) . From Loxton Hill (winter 2001). Brent Knoll with the estuary of the River Parrett at the foot of the Quantock Hills.

(107) . From Loxton Hill (winter 2001). Late in the day, looking over part of the Somerset Levels with Gastonbury Tor on the horizon and Crook Peak on the lhs.

(108) . From Loxton Hill (late summer 2000). Crook Peak.

(109) . From Loxton Hill (summer 2000). Looking over a part of Loxton village to the Somerset levels beyond, with Glastonbury Tor on the horizon to the right hand-side of the photo.
