The M5 motorway meanders its way through the gap between Loxton Hill and Banwell Hill into the Lox Yeo valley creating a permanent scar for visitors to view and ponder the question. Why on earth was it brought through there? Beyond is the holiday resort of Weston-super-Mare, the Bristol Channel and the Welsh hills in the distance.
